• “We ask, had the world refused to tolerate those immoralities, if it had reacted with energy against those violations of international law, might we not have been spared the countless deaths and sacrifices.”

Throughout history. it has been the inaction of man that has allowed so many deaths and sacrifices to happen over the years. If we, collectively take a stand to these immortalities,

we can therefore prevent such sacrifices and deaths to happen in the future. If we learn from the problem of the past, we can live a better future.

Therefore, let us not turn a blind eye to what has happened. But let it open our eyes to what needs to be done today to avoid such tragedy and violations.

When Ethiopia was attacked, the United Nations turned a blind eye to the brutalities which occurred. The world, at the time of speaking was not in the best state.

Mankind was selfish so to speak. The brutalities which happened to our brothers and sisters should have never happened, much less to be tolerated.

But thankfully, Ethiopia shall prevail against evil, as it was written. We must take heed to our past to know our strong history and heritage that we have.

Know how valuable you are and the roots of where we are coming from.

It is our duty, we who have benefitted from the sacrifices of those before us, to pass on the knowledge and teachings to the next generation.

We must preserve their great accomplishments so that they may truly know the value of their freedom. They must be taught how because of those sacrifices they are able to make a great change.

They must understand that this freedom and power was not without a great sacrifice and by no means easy to establish and maintain.

Therefore let us ourselves be educated of this. In so that we may pass it on to preserve it as a gain for the next generation.

We have a very rich a beautiful heritage. And in order to set  standard worthy of our forefathers, we must build on the foundation of what was.

the past gives you an identity and the future holds the promise of salvation, of fulfillment. History should not be just a light to the past but a signal light to the future.

Therefore, let us use this rich heritage of ours. Let us use it to the best of our abilities to live the highest standard set by our forefathers.

The making of Africa will wait on no man. We must therefore act, act on what is at our disposal, our love, unity to leave our imprints on events as we make history.

We must do what is possible to shape and mould the future of Mama Africa. What we do today will leave a mark in history as time goes by.

Let us therefore make our mark. As a nation we have the right to decide our own affairs, to mould our own future. This does not pose any danger to anybody.

Our nation is fully aware of the responsibility for its own fate in the complicated situation of the contemporary world.
