Rastafari Knowledge: Zion, the City of Jah Psalms 87
Zion, the city of “Jah”. Many people ask, where is “Zion” and what is so special about it? Well fortunately, we have been blessed with the words of “Jah” inspired through “King David”. So today, we’ll take a look into one a the many “Psalms” in which “David” wrote.
Psalms 87 says
“His foundation is in the holy mountains.
2 The Lord loveth the gates of Zion more than all the dwellings of Jacob.
3 Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
4 I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon to them that know me: behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
5 And of Zion it shall be said, This and that man was born in her: and the highest himself shall establish her.
6 The Lord shall count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah.
7 As well the singers as the players on instruments shall be there: all my springs are in thee.”

Psalms explained
Verse one, it shows that the foundation of “Jah” is in the “Holy Mountains”. As we know Ethiopian Highlands forms the largest continuous area of its elevation in the continent. Therefore we have physical evidence as to where, backed by verse 4.
All the dwellings of “Jacob”, the “Most High” regards the gates of “Zion” more precious. Where he chose the tribe of “Judah” above all from mount “Zion”.
Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of “Jah”. There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the “Most High”. I will make mention of “Rahab” and “Babylon” to them that know me.
The “Most High” to those who knows his words and keep his commandments will he make mentions of these. Therefore this is why it’s important to study to shew thyself approved. Behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia; this man was born there.
Ethiopia, the birth place of “Rastafari” where the highest himself shall establish her. “Haile Selassie I” established Ethiopia in the hearts of us “Africans” scattered abroad. It is because of the Emperor we remember the glory and truth of “Zion” which is Ethiopia.
Therefore the “Most High” will count, when he writeth up the people, that this man was born there. Selah. Therefore those who partake in iniquity and unrighteousness, will not be counted with the righteous.

Ark of the Covenant
The habitation of the Godhead, represented in the earth by the “Tabernacle of Law” as it is concerning the Glory of Zion. Representing “Elohim” in earth, is the Ark of the covenant. Located in Ethiopia, the new “Jerusalem” the place where our “Jah” loves to be. Selah.
